Straighten The Rug

Carpet tape works on hard floors and on existing wall to wall carpet holding your rug in place to flatten existing creases and eliminate new ones.
Straighten the rug. Press the tape down firmly smoothing it as you go. Place the rug flat between your mattress and box spring. Flatten the rug by applying weight evenly and firmly. Before you start trying to flatten a rug on your own you will need to assess the situation and look at the rug you have.
This is a pretty efficient method that takes approximately 7 days to work. Most people want it to lay flatter faster. If the rug is small enough you won t even know that it s there. Remove creases from a small rug.
Apply this tape to the back of your rug. Of course over time the rug will eventually flatten out on its own but that is assuming that you don t continually fold that edge over from stepping on it. Allow this to dry this way and see if it helps. Follow this diy guide to choose the ideal flattening method for your particular area rug.
If the rug is too large you can always rotate it as the edges flatten out.
